Committee members share their area of expertise to aid in the planning and functioning of the organization. We have openings in our Family Recruitment and Family Mentoring Committees as well as our Marketing Committee.
Educators have certain areas of expertise and share their knowledge with our partner families. Classes are two hours and are held on Wednesdays at our office. This is a great way to contribute directly to the Habitat mission while sharing your skills with partner families.
Family mentors ensure that families in the home owner program and those who already have homes remain on track. Mentors maintain regular contact monthly with our homeowners and potential homeowners and act as trusted liaisons between the organization and the partner families. Mentors monitor sweat equity hours and keep abreast of significant changes that may affect family's status. One year committment requested.

Often our families speak English as a second language, and an adult to translate during important meetings or phone calls is critical. Translators are often needed for meetings with staff as well as during our education sessions. Agreeing to be a translator will put you on a list of available people. We will work with your schedule, and translations can often be done off site. Spanish speaking translators are our biggest need.
