Habitat for Humanity seeks a volunteer to schedule individuals and groups who want to work at our building sites and at our ReStore. This position will be responsible for handling email requests. Documents, email forms and training will be provided. Work will be done using Gmail, Google Docs and Calendars. In general, email should be checked and responded to once or twice a day, Monday through Friday. After a period of training, this can easily become a volunteer from home opportunity if the volunteer chooses.

Ride along with our truck drivers to pick up our generous donations or stay in-house to help with loading and unloading customer's and donor's vehicles. Work on projects that require heavy lifting and moving of furniture. This is a great way to burn calories and stay in shape. Volunteers must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. Customer service and pleasant, professional demeanor are essential for interacting with Habitat donors of goods.

Translator

Often our families speak English as a second language, and an adult to translate during important meetings or phone calls is critical. Translators are often needed for meetings with staff as well as during our education sessions. Agreeing to be a translator will put you on a list of available people. We will work with your schedule, and translations can often be done off site. Spanish speaking translators are our biggest need.
