NAMI Family-to-Family Class Teacher
NAMI of PA, Berks County Affiliate

Family-to-Family is an eight-session educational program for family, significant others, and friends of adults (18 yrs+) who are living with a mental health diagnosis.  The course provides critical information and strategies for supporting the person you love, as well as communication and problem-solving skills, family advocacy, caring for yourself and other family members, and much more!

Training Location & Times:  Trainings are currently being held online.

Lodging and Travel Information: Lodging and travel for in-person trainings are the responsibility of the applicant/NAMI Affiliate.

Training Application: If you would like to train to be a NAMI Family-to-Family program leader, please download and complete the NAMI Family-to-Family training application. Send completed application to your local NAMI affiliate for approval. If you are not aware of a local affiliate, please send completed application to info@namikeystonepa.org who will try to connect you with the nearest NAMI affiliate support.

NAMI Peer-to-Peer Mentor
NAMI of PA, Berks County Affiliate

NAMI Peer-to-Peer is an 8-session, recovery-focused course, designed to aid adults (18+) who are experiencing mental health challenges achieve and maintain wellness. The course is taught by trained peers with lived experience. Classes follow a structured educational format that includes opportunity for peer connection and support through learned wisdom and group discussion. Discussions are confidential. Interactive exercises focus on mindfulness and meditation, relapse prevention, and practical coping skills.

Lodging and Travel Information: Lodging and travel for in-person trainings are the responsibility of the applicant/ NAMI Affiliate.

Training Location, Date and Time: Trainings are currently being held online. Trainings are held over two days. Training dates will be published on this page. Applications will be accepted at any time and kept on a waiting list for the next available training.

Volunteer tasks include: Prepare mailings, inventory and label brochures, copy NAMI course manuals, copy NAMI program flyers, copy resource information for community events, sort and fold NAMI t-shirts and additional tasks may be added as needed. Bilingual helpful.
