Volunteer Opportunity: Help Reconnect Foster Children with Their Roots

We're launching an exciting new program - Strengthening Family Connections - to support foster children in Berks County. We're looking for a dedicated volunteer to help us locate long-lost relatives, former coaches, neighbors, or other meaningful people from a child's past.

Using our Family Connections software and various internet tools, the volunteer will help identify potential contacts who may be able to send a note, make a phone call, offer encouragement, or even become a resource parent.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience and comfort with internet research
  • Willingness to learn and use specialized search software
  • Ability to work independently from a laptop (no in-person contact with the child)
  • Flexible schedule
  • Commitment to confidentiality
  • Must pass all required background checks and provide references

This is a meaningful way to make a difference.
