Volunteer Coach
Girls On The Run Of Berks County

From 08/05/2021 to

Did you know that you do not need to be a runner to volunteer for Girls on the Run? We are looking for volunteer Head or Assistant Coaches for our Girls on the Run season. When you volunteer as a coach for Girls on the Run, you can make a difference in the lives of girls in our community Social-emotional learning is the cornerstone of our research-based lessons, designed specifically for the challenges that 3rd-5th or 6th-8th grade girls face. With your help, we can support girls in learning the important connection between body and mind.

Our program centers around fun and accessible physical activity, ensuring we are strengthening physical - as well as emotional - health. Through a simple online training course, you will gain access to all the resources you need to lead a small group of girls in developing important life skills and healthy habits. It is our goal to ensure you are comfortable and equipped in supporting girls during these difficult times of the COVID-19 pandemic. Coaching a season requires a commitment of attending practices once or twice a week for 8 weeks starting in mid-September for our Fall season and mid-March for our Spring season. You will lead a team through fun and interactive lessons. To learn more please visit our website at www.gotrberks.org/Coach .
