Berks Encore?s Meals on Wheels Berks County delivers nutritious meals, safety checks and friendly interactions to homebound seniors, ensuring they receive daily nutrition and social interaction.
Berks Encore operates six Wellness & Activity Centers across Berks County?in Douglassville, Fleetwood, Shillington, Reading, Strausstown, and Wernersville?offering congregate meals, exercise classes, and a variety of activities and entertainment to promote socialization and wellness.
Their PA Medi program provides free, unbiased assistance with Medicare through trained counselors and volunteers helping seniors understand Medicare options, enroll services, and resolve billing issues.
Berks Encore?s Health & Wellness team provides evidence-based classes focusing on managing chronic conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, and chronic pain empowering seniors to take charge of their health.
Their Care+ program offers a holistic, client-centered approach where care managers assist older adults and their caregivers in navigating aging-related challenges, providing guidance to ensure quality care and an optimal life. This is a fee for service program.
Berks Encore relies on volunteers to provide services including Meals on Wheels, grocery shopping, friendly visitors, Medicare counseling and administrative tasks.
