Day of Caring is a community-wide volunteer event that takes place at various nonprofits and other locations throughout Berks County. It brings together large and small groups, along with individuals, to create lasting change in our community by helping others. Whether you are interested in working with an organizations' clients, doing hands-on work like maintenance, gardening or painting, or sorting items to help people in need, there is a project for you. Last year, nearly 600 people participated in 35 projects.
The date of United Way of Berks County's Day of Caring will be announced soon. Activities will be available at a variety of locations throughout Reading and Berks County. A limited number of slots are available for these volunteer opportunities. Email Darby Wiekrykas, United Way Volunteer Engagement Program Manager for more information.
