United Way Supasses 2017 Goal!

In a remarkable showing of generosity, Berks Countians surpassed United Way's $10.3 million goal to contribute a record-breaking $10,428,634 in the 2017 Campaign. A special gift of $150,000 from the late Terry McGlinn pushed the total to an astounding $10,578,634.

Pat Shields, who co-chaired the campaign with his wife, Meg, noted, "We appreciate everyone who has helped us reach our goal and we are grateful we had the opportunity to be a part of this special experience of chairing the campaign."

"Tonight, we're celebrating more than surpassing our goal," United Way President Tammy White said. "The funds we have raised in this campaign will be directed to critical services that will improve the lives of 100,000 people in our community - through our Agency Partners, through Ready. Set. READ!, 2-1-1, and more. The phenomenal support of our donors makes this possible."

In addition to learning the results of this year's campaign, some lucky donors also learned that they are winners of the 2017 Campaign Incentives. The winners are:
