Opportunity:

Reading Film Fest - Program Books Distribution

Description

Join the ReadingFilm Office for a hands-on volunteer opportunity that brings the magic of storytelling directly into our community! As part of United Way’s Day of Caring, we’re seeking enthusiastic volunteers to help distribute ReadingFilmFEST program books and promotional materials to local businesses, schools, libraries, and community hubs across Berks County.

This is more than just a delivery task—it’s a chance to connect communities with the arts, support local storytelling, and help ensure our region shines on the cultural map. Volunteers will receive route assignments, materials, and a short orientation before heading out in pairs or small teams to make their rounds.

Why It Matters:
ReadingFilmFEST celebrates voices from around the world and right here at home. By helping us get the word out, you’re helping youth, families, and film lovers of all backgrounds discover stories that inspire, inform, and unite.

Volunteer Responsibilities:

  • Pick up program books and materials.

  • Deliver to assigned locations (map and list provided)

  • Engage briefly with recipients to encourage participation in the fest.

  • Snap a few photos if possible for social media (optional but fun!)

Skills Needed:

  • Friendly and reliable

  • Comfortable navigating around Berks County

  • Ability to lift small boxes (lightweight)

  • Team spirit and a passion for the arts!
