At the SOUP KITCHEN individuals and groups volunteer help to prepare and serve lunchtime meals to over 145 individuals daily. The Soup Kitchen is the largest and only daily food program in downtown Reading. At the FOOD PANTRY, each week, two bags of groceries plus meats, dairy, produce and breads are distributed to families in need. At the CLOTHING CENTER, every Friday, gently used clothing, back-to-work clothing, shoes, coats and small household items are free of charge for those in need.
Mission Statement: With our committed volunteers and generous donors, we restore hope, comfort, and dignity by feeding, clothing, and supporting those in need in our community. We provide a daily soup kitchen, weekly food pantry and weekly clothing center for individuals and families in need in the Reading, PA community.
